Community Guidelines
Last updated: September 1, 2026
Swipea only works if it feels safe. These rules apply to everything on the app: your photos, your bio, your prompt answers, your messages and how you behave with other people. Breaking them costs you your account.
Zero tolerance
Harassment. No insults, intimidation, stalking, unwanted repeated contact after someone stops answering, or pressuring anyone into anything. "No" ends the conversation.
Nudity and sexual content. No nudity, no sexual acts, no genitals, no lingerie-only shots, no explicit sexual images sent in chat. Sexual language sent to someone who did not invite it is harassment.
Hate speech. No attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation. No hate symbols.
Violence and gore. No threats, no glorifying violence, no graphic or disturbing images, no weapons used to intimidate.
Minors. Swipea is 18+. No accounts belonging to minors, no photos of children in a sexualised context, and no content that sexualises minors in any way. We remove these accounts and report illegal content to the authorities.
Scams and solicitation. No asking for money, gift cards, crypto or bank details. No investment "opportunities". No selling services, escorting or prostitution. No linking people out to paid content or webcam sites.
Impersonation. Be yourself. No pretending to be another person, no using someone else's photos, no fake celebrity or brand profiles.
Spam. No bots, no automated messages, no promoting other platforms or products, no mass-identical copy-paste openers.
Also not allowed
- Publishing someone else's private information (address, phone, workplace, screenshots of private chats).
- Photos of other people who did not agree to appear on your dating profile — especially children.
- Buying, selling or sharing accounts.
- Using Swipea for any illegal activity, including drugs and trafficking.
How to report and block
Every profile and every conversation has a Report and a Block option.
- Block takes effect instantly: you disappear from each other's app, any match is undone and the conversation is closed. The other person is never told they were blocked.
- Report sends the case to our team. Reporting also lets you block in the same step. The person you reported is never told who reported them.
If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
What happens after a report
1. Review. Reports are triaged, and reports about the same account are added together — several people reporting the same person raises the priority automatically. Serious reasons (a minor, threats) are weighted highest.
2. Decision. Depending on what we find, we remove the content, issue a warning, restrict features, suspend the account while we look further, or ban it permanently.
3. Automated checks. Photos, bios and prompt answers are also screened automatically. Content that clearly breaks these rules is hidden from other users; borderline cases go to a human. You can always see your own content, marked as under review or rejected.
4. Bans are final for the person banned. Creating a new account to get around a ban is itself a violation.
Appeals
If you believe a decision about your account was a mistake, write to hola@swipea.app from the email address on the account and tell us what happened. We will look at it again and answer you.
